Holy Shit we bought a house!!!!!!!

well, i have been trying to upload the video of marley eating her first birthday cake, but blogger does not seem to like that one, so here are some photos from easter...we close on the new house this thursday!!!!! we are too excited for words...and crazy busy packing of course...marley fell and skinned her knee today...it was very traumatic, but she's ok now...she has a great big boo boo and we had to use two superman band aids for it. she was back to her sunny self after some cuddle time.

easter

we had a great easter here in brenham. marley loved hunting easter eggs. she got the hang of it right away. i have lots of cute video which ben will hopefully put onto the computer soon. i think i might be jinxed. i touch a computer and it stops working. anyways. mom (aka granny) made a delicious big meal for us. marley loves broccoli rice casserole. ben got to go away with eric, my uncle, for a boys weekend. they went fishing somewhere in the middle of texas and caught a ton of fish. ben caught mostly catfish, though they were fishing for white bass. i'm going to add a couple of photos that eric took and passed on to us. we have set the closing date for our new house for may 12th. so that gives us a month to clean out and pack up. you would think that after moving four times in the past year i would have this streamlined and all excess crap would be gone. you would be wrong. but i am getting better each time, so this time should be pretty darn close to perfection. we are getting very excited though. we will have a big welcome to the new house party once we are settled. here's a video of marley thoroughly enjoying her uncle kirby...

a red letter day

well ben, marley, and i are having quite the year. but an especially good week. we found a house. (yes, we've been looking) and we put in an offer and they accepted it. now we just need to finalize a closing date. the couple we would be buying from are waiting on a couple to move out of their new house...so yea! we are buying a house! it's perfect for us now and gives us some room to grow as a family. when we have a closing date i will let everyone know, especially since that means we will be moving AGAIN and this time we will accept any and all help. =) one nice bonus about buying is that we won't be moving again for the forseeable future. also ben found out today that he is being promoted! he starts as the gm of his store on monday. woo hoo! very exciting! marley is playing peek a boo with me right now; she is just too stinking cute. i know i'm biased, but i'm also right. so, in honour of all or our celebratory news, here is marley doing the turkey trot.
