So I had a client ask for a last minute photo session this weekend.  I agreed.  She then canceled.  Last minute, after I had set everything up.  She decided to wait until spring.  No big deal.  But since I had this little scene all set up, I couldn't resist.

christmas wishes

i am sure most of you are way ahead of me on the whole preparing for christmas thing.  if we are on your list to buy presents for, we have a few requests.  what it boils down to is we have enough stuff.  we are trying to de clutter and simplify our lives and our home.  the girls have tons of toys and plenty of clothes.  the thing we value most is time together as a family.  with that in mind, i would like to request presents that are consumable.  like a gift card to the movies, or the houston zoo, or a restaurant.  things that would be fun for us to do as family, but don't require us to store and keep things.  experiences and memories.

big news....

so we went in for a routine check up for baloo today.  couldn't find baloo's heartbeat so we had to have an ultrasound.  turns out.....

everything is fine, baloo was just in a funny position.

long overdue

and almost early.  sorry about the lack of post since the last one.  we are waiting on test results, but in the mean time we got some better meds to fight the bad fevers.  and today we did a trial run to the hospital to see if baloo was ready.  s/he's not.  thank goodness.  because it became woefully apparent that there is still lots that needs to be done before baby makes five.
we had a crazy busy week, though the only thing other than the specialist i can think of is marley's school field trip to the maze on friday.  it was fun.  i got to chaperon.  i really like her teacher.  and preschool is a fun age.  a wound up excited hyper age, but a fun age too.  i was definitely tired when we got home.
saturday we went out the rose emporium to help resa get ready for her big day!  the girls practiced throwing flower petals and i checked out the light.  i think it's going to be perfect.  it's a beautiful place and just about everything is in bloom.

even with a nasty cold, she just keeps going.

we attempted to make leaf crowns.  a perfect preschool activity the directions said.  they lied.  i made this one and it didn't even turn out right.

watching the rain come down one morning this week.  she loves to rock and look out the window.

today is the long awaited day

we are headed to the specialist this morning for marls.  i'm kinda losing it this morning.  luckily marls is at school b/c i don't want her to be upset.  i'm sure everything will be ok, but....what if it's not?  just trying to remember to breathe.
we went for a picnic with granny on friday at a pretty new park.  well, new to us.
