argh.

morning sickness.  blah.  i have it so bad i can hardly do anything.  i have never had morning sickness this bad.  i am currently living on ice chips with a bite or two of food everyday.  the doctor gave me some anti nausea pills, but so far no good.  i've got some ginger candy to try.  and of course saltine's and pretzels.  so if you see me and i look green, i probably am.  maybe this means baloo is a boy?

sunset at old baylor

marls loves to watch the sun set and see how pretty the sky turns.  per her request we went out to old baylor and watched this evening.  i even taught her to wish on the first star.  it was nice and quiet.  lovely family time.      she's had this weird fever this week, but i think it's finally gone.

marley's imagination has taken off.  she always has an elaborate story that we are playing out.  here we were princess butterflies off to rescue her cats from the dragons.

granny's birthday

we had a wonderful birthday party with granny today.  so great that both my girls were totally sacked out by 7pm.  marley woke up sooo excited it was granny's birthday and we were going to through her a party.  ben and marls made a delicious strawberry cake (with fresh local strawberries!  or as marley says, they're from a farm.  a farm.  i've been there.)  then we went and sang to granny and took her to lunch at the funky art, which was delicious.  i do not eat there often enough.  and then we spent the day playing in granny's yard.  it was nice and relaxing.

i asked her to show me her pretty face.  this is not the normal response.  

we hauled out kirby's old tonka trucks today.  real metal.  a very big hit.

playing in dirt, then playing in water.  my girls couldn't have been happier.  especially since they were with their granny.  side note:  davis says granny now!  it's pretty darn cute!

we introduced doodle to bimbles the other day.  marls loves them.  d thought they made better accessories than food.

odds and ends

the photography business has been booming lately, so i haven't been keeping up here.  but i'm still snapping away.  finger painting is a full body thing at our house.

easter fun

we had a great easter.  the easter bunny even brought new toothbrushes!  the girls were way excited.  they love to brush their teeth.  it's weird, i know, but not gonna fight it.

she went to town in the backyard.  it was hard to catch she was moving so quickly.

doodle watched sister for a minute and then she had the idea down.  she squealed with happiness every single time she found an egg.

yes, we are always this fashionable.  divas.

doodle's bucket was a little big for her.  she dragged it all around the yard.

it wouldn't be supper if d didn't fall asleep at the table.
