weeeeeeeeeeeeeee

the lonserts had a pretty rough week last week. but we are bound and determined that this will be a much better week. last week we had a simba scare, major plumbing problems, and rats. the trees around our house are growing into our pipes. not good. they cleaned out the line and we are just going to see how long it lasts. it might last two years, it might last six months. the bad part is when it happens again, and it will, in order to actually fix it they will have to tear up our driveway. sigh. the rats turned out to not be as bad as it seemed either. i was in our laundry room and looked above the door to see (and hear) leaves moving and something scurrying. aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh. i ran from the room, shut the door and was done with laundry until the exterminator came. luckily he came the next day. and the news was good and bad. he found a bunch of burroughs (nests) in our attic. apparently there had been quite an infestation at one point in time. the good news is that there was no fresh sign of an active infestation. the poison the exterminator put in the acttic last time remains untouched. and i haven't heard anything since. but for some reason all i can think of is that scene from ratatouille in the beginning where the old lady is shooting at the two rats and all of a sudden the ceiling comes crashing down and rats are everywhere. it's the stuff of nightmares. i am not a country girl.

but today we start asfresh. with a day of love. marley walked in carrying a big stuffed dog that looks like loulou and a red rose for me this morning. i got the rose and she kept the dog. ben followed with even more goodies. it's nice to be loved and spoiled. today was a perfect day. sunny and 70. we went to granny's house (marley and i) to deliver her valentine's day flowers and ended up running around the back yard and playing with marley's weeeeeee. that is what she calls her swing. hope everyone is enjoying their day...we are having ohio migas for dinner. super yum.
