busy busy busy

waiting for the maifest parade to start on friday

pulling her buddy jude around in her wagon

pulling her wagon and jude.

monkeying around with dad

waving to all the folks in the parade

jude was not into it at all.

marley generally has a great time anywhere, especially if she can wave to people.

jude needed a nap half way thru the parade....

until the fire trucks came, that is.

and i think they were both over it by this time

magic shakers

waiting outside reed arena for the ringling brothers and barnum and bailey circus

peering in the doors, very excited

she LOVED this clown nose. did not want to take it off.

an hour before the show you can go down to the stage and meet all the performers and even some of the animals.

this is boomer. he's very soft and well mannered and a star of the show

the hat came with the cotton candy, which she also LOVED.

they asked us not to use a flash, so my pictures aren't top notch. but we didn't want to spook the animals. anyway. here marley is showing off her tightrope walking skills. this guy was very very nice, and their acrobats were awesome.

seriously blurry marley. but she ran up and gave this clown a squeeze. she aint' afraid of no clowns.

she actually really likes this toy we got her. i just thought this was a funny picture. it lights up and goes in circles and has an elephant on it. what could be better?

showing me her toy.

mmmmmmmmmmmmmm....cotton candy.

no, she did not eat the entire bag. just a couple of handfuls. she probably would have had we let her.

this is NOT the face of innocence. this is the face of a little imp who got into mommy's purse.

we've had a busy past couple of days. thurday ben and i snuck away for a dinner date. it had been way too long. but it was very nice just to focus on each other. friday we went to the maifest parade. it's some german heritage thing. i don' t really get it, but there's a parade. marley had a blast, as you can see. jude wasn't so into it. but i think he had fun in the end. and then today we went to the ringling brother and barnum and bailey circus, which was awesome. there were elephants, dogs, horses, and even a house cat act. who knew you could train house cats? and very cool acrobatics. even motorcycles. you name it, they had it. all except for big cats, but that's ok. marley was very excited about it all. especially the cotton candy. i think after these busy days, tomorrow is going to be one of relaxation. maybe a pedicure. that would be nice...
