granny appreciation

so things have been a tad crazier the past couple of days around here.  starting with saturday night.  the gas/carbon monoxide detector woke me up at 230am.  i grabbed the girls, thru the dog out back and sat on the porch and called my mom.  b/c that is what you do when the shit hits the fan, you call your mom.  and my mom, being particularly awesome, answered.  i called 911 and she came over to help with the girls while we waited for the city and firemans to show up.  that's not bad grammar, it's what marley calls them.  both my girls were totally unfazed.  marley was, in fact, incredibly excited that the firemans were coming to visit her in her house.  well, they didn't find anything, but i didn't feel comfortable staying there so we packed up and went camping at granny's.  the girls were so excited they stayed up for an hour after we got there.  went home the next morning and the alarm was going off AGAIN.  called the city and they came and inspected.  found a small lead around the water heater, but fixed it and said not to worry.  well when i put davis down for her nap the alarm in their bedroom started going off.  and at 7pm both alarms started going off.  so i called my mom, she came and got the girls, and i loaded louie into the jeep (it was raining and he's afraid of rain) and camped out at granny's again.  monday morning someone else from the city came out and found a pretty major carbon monoxide leak.  to the point where they shut off our gas until we got it fixed.  so the plumbers came out and fixed it.  woo hoo.  long story short the people that owned our house previously did not install the water heater up to code and the vent must have shifted and was leaking carbon monoxide into the house.  sooooo glad i trusted my paranoid worried gut and didn't just blow the alarms off as faulty.  these pics are from a photo session i did with my mom and the girls for grandparents day.  my mom hates having her photo taken, but i think i got some cute ones.  the last series was supposed to be my mom and both girls, but marley loved the parasol and wanted lots of photos of just her.  i am always happy to oblige.  blogger put the photos in all higgeldy piggeldy even though i uploaded them in order.  sorry...

D:  i don't know granny, that looks an awful lot like a flower to me.

this is my serious face

i'm not very good at narrowing down my favorites....
