labor day

we went to dave and julie's for a labor day bbq yesterday.  lots of fun, as always.

so we had an awesome time, come home about to go into super speedy bedtime routine, but when i open the car door i smell gas.  bad.  and not that kind that you can blame on the dog or the baby.  so we don't even get the girls out of the car and i go in and investigate and sure enough the house reeks of it.  so i grab jammies and head out, ben calls the city and waits.  i think the mosquitoes about devoured him, but the city got there pretty quickly.  an oven knob got turned just a bit.  but we camped out at granny's just to make sure it was all safe.  and first thing in the morning the city was at our house replacing the old gas meter.  anywho.  just a bit of excitment, but all is fine.
tonight was the first meeting of the ladies book club i am starting.  super excited about it.  we're reading pappillon to start off with.  love that book, but i am the only one who's read it before.  and i'll read it again.
