So this past August Marls auditioned for the nutcracker.  This was a pretty serious momma test.  She was one of only five NOT chosen to be in the performance.  And I said all the right things about learning to lose and supporting our friends, but my heart broke for her and I was angry.  How do you only not choose five kids?!  Anywho, it turned out to be a blessing in disguise.  I guess the stones said it right.  You can't always get what you want, but sometimes you get what you need.  These are the photos from her audition day.  She enjoyed the audition.  

Marls starts first grade and Doodle starts pre-k.  And this week Marls starts public school.  Ack. Keep us in your thoughts and pray Marls makes some friends.  She had such a rough first semester of bullying.
