recovery!

her first double french braids.

we have all survived the weekend.  thank goodness.  turns out ben and i had food poisoning.  blah.  makes me not want to eat out anymore.  marley is on a different antibiotic, but no problems giving it to her.  she loves to take her medicine.  weird kid.

juliet loves hats

candice and juliet came in to town and came for a visit.  it's crazy to see the different ages interact.  juliet is one, marls is two, and then there's davis.

we got her a bouncy seat.  she loves it.  she's started to coo a lot.

she loves her itsy spider

i love all her funny faces

the fashion queen in an outfit of her own creation.
so when i was in about 4th grade i had super long hair and my mom did all sorts of cool braids and fish tails and the like to it.  i seem to recall we bought a book about braiding.  i would practice on my barbie dolls for hours until i masted all the different braids.  and then when i went to college my roommate meshell always asked me to fix her hair.  she would wake me up just to get braids.  she still does, in fact.  although i am usually up first when she comes to visit.  so i have basically been training since 4th grade to have a little girl and fix her hair.  finally that time has come.  marley tells me what she wants me to do to her hair, usually.  a bird tail is one pony tail, pigs is two.  the braids are new this week.  she's pretty good at sitting still.  but i only attempt it when she is otherwise occupied.  i may not be able to curl hair, blow it dry, or help with makeup, but i got little girl hair down to a science.
the picture above?  yeah, she picked it all out.  and i mean all.  green bean shorts, polka dot shirt, pig tails, pink tutu socks, and sparkle shoes.  i love it.  i can't get enough of her fashion.

dancing queens~ we've been having some pretty serious dance parties lately.

tired girl off to bed.
