texas is burning

fire scares me.  it is so uncontrolable.  and it is getting closer to brenham.  not that we are in any danger.  or no more than normal.  it is so dry here, all it would take is one unthinking smoker and poof!  another wildfire started.  luckily the wind has died down some.  anyways.  the fire surrounds us.  my uncle is off with the texas forest service at the fire in bastrop, tx.  pray for their safety.  we have bags packed and by the door should we get an evacuation order.  i figure it is better to be prepared, especially since we have so much to make sure we get.  like the girls and the dog.  you can smell it all from our house.

the three day weekend went by too quickly.  marley got sick and then we all got sick.  just a summer cold, no biggie.
