sleep

so i am trying to convince myself to stay awake just a tad bit longer.  i mean it's not even 8pm yet.  but i was up late working on a project and ben is off with his guitars and the girls are long asleep.  so it's me and louie and he gave up trying to be interesting and settled for comfortable.  he's had a rough couple of days.  he had to go to the vet yesterday for what turned out to be a pinkle (marley's word for pimple) and a staph infection.  so he's on antibiotics and a steriod.  but last night all he did was anxiously pace, so the vet thinks he is having a bad reaction to the steroid and we are to take him off of it until monday.  he paced all night long last night.  i kept thinking he needed to go out, but he was just anxious.  poor fella.  he seems better tonight, now that i've skipped a dose.  hopefully that's all it was.  sick puppies are soooo sad.  and louie is too young to have health problems.
i made cookies and gave marley the tiniest bite imaginable and she somehow tripled it's size all over herself.

what is this?

hmmm

RAIN!!!!!

my cute model
so davis got all these onesies that say how old she is from my friends tim and sarah.  davis has grown a tad quickly, so they don't fit her.  like this onesie is a size 3-6 month and she wears a size 9 month.  so to fix this problem i cut the onesie up and made a skirt and then sewed it all back together, making it three inches longer, about.  i think it's pretty cute, especially since i had no idea what i was doing.  i mean  i've never even made ruffles before.  all with some quilting scraps and some ribbon.
marley needed her picture taken after i took davis's picture.

we went to see the miniature horses yesterday.  they horses were recently bought and are being cared for by someone new.  it was kind of sad b/c it didn't seem like they were being cared for at all.  i don't really know the first thing about horses, but they didn't seem to be in good shape.  their hoofs were so long that some of them were having trouble walking.  marley loved them still.

face painting.  of course she wanted a spider.
there is a monastery at the same place as the horses, which also just changed hands.  anyway they had a fall festival and we decided to check it out.  it was pretty sad too, and we didn't stay long.  but marley had fun and that was the goal.
first tattoo.  it's already gone.

happy happy girl
now that davis is older, she has such a fun personality.  she loves to hear the sound of her own voice.  and she is usually all smiles with the becoming more frequent belly laugh.
ice cream is serious business

after ice cream, we went to visit my friend candice, who was in town at her parent's house.
