so as i get closer to christmas i find more good kids stuff online. too late. but if you are still doing your shopping for a kid or two, not neccesarily mine, i would recommend these two websites. thelandofnod.com and okllo.com. the first just has awesome toys. the second makes these really cool shirts with famous people in american history on them. they make some other stuff too, but i thought the shirts were pretty cool. anyway. the house is ready for a tree. i rearranged furniture today. have to have the picture window cleared for the tree. hung what stockings i could find. i think some are at my mom's house. got out the nativity scenes. and started my last farts and craps projects. woo hoo. we are ready for santa claus.
last night was rough, as both girls have the snots and at the slightest hint of a cough i jumped up afraid of croup. so this momma is beat. hoping for a quiet restful night. on a side note, we have old pipes. our house is 60 years old. a tree has started to grow roots thru our plumbing. it will eventually have to be fixed. every once in a while the pipe gets totally clogged and backs up. grossness. sewer is not something you want backing up. anyway. in the past we have called a plumber and they come out with their fancy sewer snake and charge us out the ying yang. well today, ben became mr fix it and did it all himself. we rented the tool from the home depot and he spent the morning hacking away at roots. way gross. but awesome that he did it and saved us some major money. and we can now do laundry again. woo hoo. just when i thought i had a good excuse...reading a good book, off to stay up too late reading it.
