santa countdown

so every morning marley tells me that santa's come and we can open our presents now.  we have presents under the tree that is not fully decorated.  i'm getting things done in fits and spurts.  oh well, it'll get there.  every time marley thinks of something that someone "needs", she says:  that's ok.  santa will get _______ for __________.  like earlier marley realized that granny does not have a dog.  so she said:  that's ok.  santa will get a dog for granny.  somehow i don't think granny would be very happy with santa if there was a puppy waiting for her under the tree.
beautiful blueberry baby
i made davis some baby food today.  that sounds way more impressive than it is.  to make baby food, particularly blueberries like i did, you thaw the blueberries (i heat them up a bit) and insert them in the cuisinart for a bit.  voila!  baby food.  but davis loved them.  first food i could tell she was actually enjoying.  the others she just tolerates so far.
beautiful blueberry girl
marley loves her some blueberries too.  she ate three bowls full of them this morning.  funnily she does not like fresh blueberries, only the frozen ones.  she likes them slightly frozen.  better texture i guess.
all ready for santa to visit
so my aunt lori is awesome.  for many reasons, but in particular, she spoils me rotten with beautiful hand made items.  she has made a diaper bag for both my girls, a beautiful quilt that marley sleeps with every single night, and christmas stockings for the entire family.  we just got davis's and it matches the rest perfectly.  i love it and love that we have something so special to incorporate into our family traditions.  i know my stocking from childhood was (and is, my mom hangs it every year) super special.  anyway, i love that sort of thing.
visiting santa.  in their granny made dresses.
