we got our tree today. we would prefer to buy a cut your own from a local farmer, but the drought has made that a rather expensive option. so next year. but we got one and it smells heavenly. right when you walk in the door. ahhhh.
tommorrow we get lights and maybe even decorations. we'll see. we also get to go see santa in the am. very exciting. the cuteness will be extreme. granny made them matching old fashioned christmas dresses.

well, the day has finally come. farts and craps bested me. we had a total failure today. it was messy (and not the fun messy), stinky, complicated, and, in the end, just plain old ugly. oh well. can't win them all.
